Why These Terms are Important
These terms and conditions may sound formal in places, but have been designed to help protect both Singing Mamas and trainees, by setting clear expectations and responsibilities.
Establishing these terms enables trainees to make an informed decision about their ability to meet these commitments before enrolling.
Crucially, the Terms and Conditions maintain the quality and integrity of Singing Mamas training and will ensure that all trainees are actively engaging with the content and achieve the desired learning outcomes.

1. Payment Terms
1.1 Payment Deadlines: Full payment must be made in full before you start your training. If selecting a payment plan, all payment installments must be completed before the course begins.
1.2 Late Fees: When paying in installments, missed payments may incur an administration fee.
1.3 Currency: Payment is expected in pound sterling (£/GDP)
1.4 Membership: Once your training is complete you will require a licence should you wish to practise as a Singing Mamas Community Leader. A monthly membership covers the cost of your licence, insurance and monthly online CPD sessions. The cost of membership is in addition to training fees. Singing Mamas reserves the right to withhold membership if there are concerns about a person's ability to work within the mission, vision and values of the organisation .
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1 Cancellation: Our training programmes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
We operate this policy in order to keep costs low and the work affordable rather than inflating our prices to accommodate refunds.
2.2 Insurance: We recommend all trainees take out insurance to protect against illness, travel disruption and unforeseeable circumstances which may prevent completion of the training programme.
2.3 Discretionary transfers and refunds: Every year, the Singing Mamas Board of Directors allocates a small budget towards discretionary transfers and refunds; however, these are only allocated in exceptional circumstances to women who are experiencing a major life event that is likely to have a significant impact on their wellbeing.
Please contact the organisation to request a discretionary refund application form if you feel this applies to you.
2.4 Transfers: In cases where the Singing Mamas Board of Directors approve a transfer from one date or location to another, an administration fee will be payable.
3. Course Access and Materials
3.1 Technical Requirements: Trainees are expected to have reliable access to a computer (with speakers) and to the internet for the duration of their training. Ideally, this will be in a private, rather than public, space. Access to the communication platform ‘Zoom’ and to our online learning portal ‘Kajabi’ is necessary.
Zoom: Zoom is a communications platform that allows users to connect with video, audio, and chat. Using Zoom requires an internet connection and a supported device. Most new users will want to start by creating an account and downloading the Zoom Client for Meetings.
Kajabi: Kajabi is the platform Singing Mamas use to host our online training modules. Using Kajabi requires an internet connection and a supported device. You will be provided a login to access Kajabi via the Singing Mamas website. It is also possible to download the Kajabi app to your phone to complement your learning.

3.2 Access Period: Trainees will have access to online course content for six months after the start date of their training programme. After this time, online content and support is available to Community Leader Members (which can be purchased upon completion of Community Leader Training). Extensions may be granted in exceptional circumstances.
3.3 Login Credentials: Login credentials are for individual use only and should not be shared with others.
3.4 Updates to Course Content: Content may be updated or changed and Singing Mamas will always endeavour to notify trainees of relevant changes.
3.5 Technical issues: The training provider is not responsible for technical issues on the participant's end that prevent attendance or participation.
3.6 Support Availability: As a small, non-profit organisation, Singing Mamas cannot provide specialist technical support. We will however always endeavour to help resolve any course-related issues
4. Attendance and Participation
4.1 Minimum Attendance: Trainees are required to attend at least 75% of all Group Workshops to successfully complete the training program. If trainees do not attend at least 75% of all live online sessions they will have to make up the hours in a 1:1 session in order to complete the training. Any 1:1 sessions would be charged additionally.
4.2 Active Participation: Active participation in discussions, group activities, and other interactive components of the course is required. This includes contributing to Group Workshops, completing all online modules, and submitting evidence of reflective practice.
4.3 Course Completion: Trainees are expected to complete online content, Group Workshops, Song Sharing Practise and Final Reflective Assessment within six months. Trainees who do not complete the online training or practice hours within this period may not pass the programme and may be required to re-register at their cost.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Ownership of Content: All course materials, including videos, audio files, documents, and presentations, are the intellectual property of Singing Mamas.
5.2 Restrictions on Use: Course materials are for personal use only and cannot be redistributed, copied, or sold.
5.3 Use of Trademark: You should not use the Singing Mamas name or brand until such time as you have completed your training and been granted a licence
6. Code of Conduct
6.1 Expected Behaviour: All trainees will be asked to sign and comply with Singing Mamas’ Code of Conduct. This will inform the expected behaviour of trainees in online discussions, and interactions with instructors and other trainees.
6.2 Consequences of Breach: If a trainee violates the Singing Mamas Code of Conduct, they may be removed from the training programme without a refund.
7. Privacy and Data Protection
7.1 GDPR: All data collected, stored and shared by Singing Mamas is done so in accordance with our GDPR Policy.
7.2 Photography Release: Trainees may occasionally be photographed or filmed while participating in the training programme. The photographs and footage are the exclusive property of Singing Mamas, and images and footage may be freely used by Singing Mamas for promotional or educational purposes. If trainees do not want to be photographed / filmed, it is their responsibility to let Singing Mamas know.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 General Disclaimer: Singing Mamas is not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that may arise from the use of the training program.
8.2 Accuracy of Information: While efforts are made to provide accurate and up-to-date information, Singing Mamas does not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of the course content.
9. Responsibility Waiver
9.1 Pre-Existing Conditions: I understand that it is my responsibility to inform Singing Mamas of any pre-existing conditions that might affect my participation in training prior to it taking place.
9.2 Responsibility for risk: I assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which might occur as a result of my participation in training. / workshop / event.
9.3 Indemnification: I release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Singing Mamas, the host/studio training location and their representatives, officers, agents, and directors from any and all losses and claims, even if arising from their negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. It is expressly agreed that all use of the facilities and premises (including but not limited to stairs, parking areas, walkways) shall be undertaken at MY own risk.
9.4 Medical advice: I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician regarding my participation in all programs offered by Singing Mamas, prior to attending if I have any pre-existing condition that may be exacerbated by my participation.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
10.1 Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
